Today lesson is about ASUS laptop repair motherboard, its platform is x55vd Mainboard, Rev: 2.1.
What is the problem with the notebook? It doesn't start, and on the system some water poured. The 3.3 V is not here and 5 volt is not here also.

he has set the multimeter in volt meter, the Amper is stable. He checks the input and then the output of MOSFET which is 19 v. its natural that if 3.3v and 5v are not there the motherboard does not start. The controller of 3.3v and 5v is here; its IC number is 8206 L.He has tested the motherboard and then seen here. This resistor removed by water, one of its pin has removed! You can see it this video! He has removed it and replaced the resistor! 5 voltages come out from pin 7 and goes to enable pin of this component. i have checked in data sheet that

He checked in data sheet that, 5v comes from 7pin of IC and goes to here (enable pin),
after assembling the notebook the 3.3v is there and it works properly! 3.3V and 5v are working normally, look at the data sheet and board view, the damaged resistor is there. In the video you will see all these components such as: Pin number 7, 5voltage comes out of it then we have here two pieces Resistors, one of them damaged. The Resistor number is PR8117, and IC number is RT8206L,

5v comes out of pin7, then pass from a capacitor (C10) and Resistor (R7) and reaches to PVcc.

In the data sheet, the 5v goes to enable pin and input is 5 volt and output is from pin4 hence the output signal goes to Resistor and reaches to +3VAO; +3VAO= +3 volt always On.

He solders the resistor then checks power button voltage is 3.2v, it is normal, input is nearly 5 volt and output is 3.3 volt, they are working. I start and see it, Amper is 0.96. Finally he assembles the motherboard and it works without any problem. The Amper is 1.09 and the laptop works

In the laptops which contacted with water! You have to check all components of the motherboard,

Especially checking resistors, they are very important.
